Ph.D. scholar at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi and CSIRNational Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow. Working on identifying the underlying mechanisms for alleviation of menopausal symptoms using medicinal plants taking leads from Indian traditional knowledge. Identified several promising plants and phytomolecules with estrogenic and serotonergic activity through in-silico, in-vitro and in-vivo studies. Apart from this, six years of experience in the field of Pharmacognosy, chemotaxonomy and bio-prospection of medicinal plants, herbal drug development, computer-aided drug designing and animal handling. Experience in project management, coordination, and scientific writing, published eight research articles in peer-reviewed journals. Awarded with EMBO scientific exchange grant at University of Angers, France for pursuing research on the role of MAO-A in cardiac senescence in post-menopausal conditions
